Apple CD ROM Explorer - a glimpse of some of the many ways that CD ROM can be
used, including a number of examples of CD ROM applications, sampled sounds and
animations.
Apple Desktop Media Presentation and Seminar CD - an interactive HyperCard
demonstration that teaches how the Macintosh works and how it can be used to
produce everything from professional quality reports to color slides. there is
also a section showing the Mac family and a range of peripherals and software.
Apple Science CD - a collection of scientific images, animations, visualizations
and Mathematica notebooks from the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications, Wolfram Research and the National Institutes of Health.
BCS Mac PD-CD - The definitive collection of public domain and shareware
software, produced by the Boston Computer Society, with over 350 megabytes of
cheap and free software.
BMUG PD ROM - includes over 250 megabytes of the finest public domain shareware
and free software, clip art, and international bulletin board message threads
available for the Macintosh. Produced by the Berkeley Macintosh Users Group.
Custom Developer Sampler - contains information about the multimedia developers
producing products for the Macintosh platform, as well as a portfolio of design
products and animated samples of their work.
Develop, The CD - the first issue of the "develop" magazine from the Apple
Programmers and Developers Association, containing a transcript of the entire
magazine as well as applications built from the code in the magazine articles.
Farallon's Greatest Hits - several demonstrations and descriptions of Farallon
products, including their networking utilities and tools, the MacRecorder sound
digitizer and Timbuktu system sharing tools.
Macintosh on Macintosh - an interactive HyperCard demonstration of the Macintosh
that includes information on the members of the Macintosh family, the advantages
of the Mac approach to computing, and Mac software.
MacroMind Demonstration CD - contains a demo version of MacroMind Director, the
definitive animation tools for the Macintosh, with examples of presentations,
multimedia displays, clip animations, animated configuration guides and technical
Q&A concerning Mac animation.
SIGCAT - a special CD from the Special Interest Group on CD-ROM Applications and
Technology, containing a variety of image processing programs for both the PC and
the MAC II developed by government agencies, and a collection of raster images
for display. Includes selections from NASA, USGS, BLM, NIH, ISFUG and Spot
Image.
Technical Information Source Sampler - a single CD ROM that contains a wide range
of information for support of Apple products. Includes software that can be
copies from the CD ROM, examples of hardware and software solutions, networking
and communications information, and much more.
